Shatta Wale has registered his displeasure at Sarkodie for showing him gross disrespect when he ‘refused’ to shoot the music video for their hit collabo, Me Gye Wo Girl but found time to do likewise with Runtown (a Nigerian act) for the song, Pain killer.
The Gringo hitmaker let the cat out of the bag on the back of the trending cold reception Ghanaian musicians were given during their performance at the Invasion Concert, an event masterminded by Nana Appiah Mensah to introduce his Menzgold and Zylofon to Nigerians.
The matter has garnered divergent views from Ghanaians from all walks of life, the consensus of which has been that Ghanaians should pay Nigerian artistes in their own coin when they are here whilst advocating for majority airplay for Ghanaian songs on our airwaves.
On this note, Shatta suggested that Sarkodie seems to be loyal to artistes from Nigeria than his colleagues here in Ghana using their hit song, Me Gye Wo Girl as a case study.
According to Shatta Wale, Sarkodie did not make any attempt for them to visualize the song but had all the time to shoot the video for Pain Killer, a song he had with Runtown.
When Andy Dosty asked him whether he actually reached to Sarkodie for the music video, Wale answered in the affirmative adding that Wale he (Sark) had wanted the whole to be done in London.
