‘Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy Don’t Know How To Sing ‘Real’ Patoi’- Ambulley
Veteran Highlife artist, Gyedu Blay Ambolley has blasted Stonebwoy and Shatta for not embodying true Ghanaian elements in their music and choose to sing songs associated with Jamaicans.
And what pisses him off is the fact the two artists cannot even sing in real patoi yet they call themselves Dancehall artists.
He therefore advised them to use pidgin English in their music to gain that identity instead of being ‘fake.’ He made this submission on Hitz FM.
“If I hear @shattawalegh and @stonebwoyb trying to sing in Patois I feel sad, I think they should rather do it in broken English”, he said.
